Soon-to-be nurses and surgical technicians studying at LSU Eunice now have more space to learn.
Lafayette General Health partnered with the university to renovate a 7,770 square foot space on the first floor of the hospital’s medical office building to make room for classrooms and laboratory space.
The new space was unveiled during a ribbon-cutting Wednesday evening. LSU President F. King Alexander was there to cut the ribbon.
The $400,000 renovation includes two labs, two classrooms, faculty offices, and a student lounge.
LSU Eunice teaches nursing clinical courses and surgical technology courses at the location. The first nursing class to use the facility graduated in December.
