LAFAYETTE–A man is facing a second-degree murder charge in the death of his father.
Police say Willie Thomas, Sr., was found dead inside his home in the 200 block of Joy Street. According to investigators, Thomas died on head trauma.
His son, Willie Thomas, Jr., was arrested after a car crash in St. Mary Parish. He is in a hospital recovering from injuries suffered in the crash. He will be booked in the Lafayette Parish Jail once he is discharged.
