Roads closures in Acadiana

Several areas in Acadiana are experiencing high water and blockages on roadways. Here is a list of those provided to KATC. It will be updated.

DOTD

The following road closures are in place due to heavy rains.

LA 347 under I-10 overpass remains closed. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid the area.

LA 347 (Cecilia Senior High Highway) between LA 686 (Coteau Rodaire Highway) and LA 328 (Anse Broussard Highway) is now open after being closed for a short time.

Iberia Parish

Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office is reporting water on the roadway at the following locations:

  • Fremin Rd.
  • Lewis St. at the Port of Iberia
  • S. Curtis Lane

St. Martin Parish

All roadways are now open

Lafayette Parish

The Scott Police Department has announced the closers of several roads due to high water. These closers will change as the water subsides.

As of 8:00 pm The area of Perez & St. Anne and Renaud near Roger Rd. is still barricaded due to high water.

All other roads are passable despite some still having standing water, according to police.

Police asks that motorists do not go around barricades. It is illegal to do so

St. Landry Parish

In Eunice, Laurel Avenue has heavy flooding and barricades were put up to ensure that drivers did not get stuck in the high waters.
