Foster Friends of Acadiana hosted their annual Christmas party Monday.
The event was held in an effort to raise awareness of the foster children in Acadiana who are now eligible for adoption. Foster Friends holds the Christmas party every year to thank the community for the help they give to children in the foster system.
The children also received gifts donated by the community.
Foster Friends of Acadiana says that they want to raise awareness in Acadiana on behalf of DCFS (Dept of Child and Family Services) to get more families certified to foster a child and/or adopt.
