The Council for the Development of French in Louisiana or CODOFIL held a grand reopening of their historic office following several years of renovation.

CODOFIL has moved back into the old City Hall located on West Main Street in Lafayette, which was built in 1898 and is a National Register property. CODOFIL says the group first moved there in the early 1980s. In 2012, extensive renovations began and the building has been completely remodeled.

The organization celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2018.

The event was free and open to the public.
