LPSO: Texas trio arrested following seizure of over $500k in Meth

Nearly $600,000 worth of Meth was seized and three people arrested following a traffic stop in Lafayette, according to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say that on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at around 5:30 p.m., Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s office made traffic stop in the Parish.

Officials say that a K-9 search of the vehicle resulted in a positive alert for the presence of illegal narcotics. A cardboard box allegedly containing a large quantity of Methamphetamine was then located inside the vehicle.

Deputies say they seized approximately 6.5 pounds (2,978 grams) of Methamphetamine, with a street
value of $595,600.

21-year-old Victor Manual Aguirre, 22-year-old Leonarno Santana Aguirre, and Sandra Duran Sanchez of Texas were all arrested with possession with intent to distribute schedule II controlled dangerous substances
