At Women and Children’s Hospital, members of the Harvest Center Church youth ministry and Journey Girls youth group spread some holiday cheer to children staying in the facility this Thanksgiving.
The groups handed out toys and board games to patients so their hospital stay could be more enjoyable.
This is the third year the group has put on this outreach event.
The group brought board games for children to play and even had a few special characters show up for a few pictures.
“Some children won’t be home for the Thanksgiving holiday. There are some kids that won’t be able to sit down at the table because they’ll be in the hospital. We look at this as a very important opportunity to give back to the children,” said Youth Pastor Shavonda Martin.
