UL police are investigating racist vandalism at F. G. Mouton Hall.

According to a video sent to KATC, someone wrote a racial slur on a banner.

University officials say this is the second such incident of racial vandalism in the past few days.

They say the person responsible for the slur could face charges and expulsion.

“Those hateful messages do not reflect who we are as a university. We have zero tolerance for racism and vandalism. When identified, whoever committed these acts will face consequences,” said Vice President for Student Affairs Patricia Cottonham.

Thursday, messages of love and support popped up around campus following the incident. May expressing that love does not discriminate.
