Drug Take-Back Day will be held in Lafayette on Saturday at University Hospital and Clinics.
Anyone who has prescription drugs they need to dispose of can do so at the Clinics on West Congress between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. You can bring old prescriptions that are expired, pills for prescriptions you didn’t finish, pills prescribed to relatives who have died, etc.
Local law enforcement officers will be on hand to help residents securely dispose of their medications. University Hospital and Clinic associates and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan employees will provide educational resources on prescription drug misuse prevention to participants.
This is a national event that takes place in most cities across the country.
