A local author is celebrating Early Head Start Month with some students in Lafayette.
Margaret Laborde read her new book From A to Zoot to the class at United Way’s Early Learning Center.
Laborde wrote the book with the hopes of sparking imagination and creativity within young children.
“The zoot zoot hide on every page so the readers love to look for the zoot zoot,” said Margaret Laborde, Author From A to Zoot. “That makes it fun, and then it also reinforces positive social concepts and teaches fundamental foundational skills like the alphabet and reading and counting.”
