DUSON–CenterPoint Energy is working to restore natural gas service to homes and businesses in town at this hour.
According to police chief Kip Judice, an operation issue caused the interruption. Judice says there are no dangers associated with the interruption.
City leaders expect gas to be restored during the night. Residents may have to relight their pilot lights once service is restored.
