Posted

Lafayette Education Foundation (LEF) and Broussard Poché, LLP, an LEF grant partner, are donating Ramsey Solutions’ Foundations in Personal Finance curriculum to Judice Middle School. This will be the first middle school in Lafayette Parish to utilize the curriculum for teaching financial literacy to students. Multiple high schools in Lafayette Parish have been using this program of studies for several years and have obtained great results.

“Financial literacy is one area that has the greatest impact on students’ futures and is an instrumental core topic that each student needs to grasp. We appreciate Broussard Poche’ recognizing this need and taking the step to improve the lives of students in Lafayette Parish,” said Dan Alexander, President of LEF.

The curriculum teaches students the value of saving, spending and giving to guide them down the path of financial literacy.

More than three million students have taken Foundations in Personal Finance in middle schools, high schools and universities nationwide. Foundations in Personal Finance can be used as a primary or supplemental resource to fulfill requirements in mathematics, economics, family consumer science, business mathematics and personal finance.
