LAFAYETTE–Police say alcohol is a factor in a deadly two-vehicle crash on Ambassador Caffery Parkway.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Ambassador and Chemin Metairie Road.
Police say Tanoka Janezich, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene. A child riding in her car suffered minor to moderate injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified only as a 48-year-old male, was taken to an area hospital with moderate injuries. Investigators say he will be booked on vehicular homicide and OWI charges once he is released from the hospital. Two other passengers inside his vehicle suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
