Another Habitat for Humanity home is completed in Lafayette’s Pinhook pocket subdivision.

Officials say this is the 12th home to be completed in the subdivision located in the McComb-Veazey neighborhood and was dedicated Thursday to the White family who helped build that home.

Sermica White is the recipient of the home and put in more than 300 hours assisting builders to be able to purchase the home.

“The most rewarding part of this journey is knowing that we will have something to call our own, something that we put so much work into,” White said of the experience.
