This investigation was a joint effort by the LBI Cyber Crime Unit., Homeland Security Investigations, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Duson Police Department. He was booked in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

“Every time an image or video is viewed or shared, a child is re-victimized. This is a crime that impacts victims for life. Today’s arrest is another example of the great work done by members of my Cyber Crime Unit and our Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) partners across the state who share in our commitment to doing all we legally can to fight back against child predators,” AG Jeff Landry said.

Forrestier was a part-time supplemental band director for the parish, according to LPSS.  He was previously working at Acadiana High.

“He will not be returning to Lafayette Parish schools to teach,” spokesperson for LPSS Joe Craig said.

Forrestier was arrested on four counts of pornography involving a juvenile.

No bond has been set.
