UPDATE: The standoff at South Magnolia near Pinhook Road has ended. A suspect is now in custody.
The Marshal’s Office says they have arrested 27-year-old Zachary Kynard. Officials say he was wanted on multiple misdemeanor and felony charges.
Kynard was taken into custody.
Viewers have alerted us to heavy police activity at a home on South Magnolia, near Pinhook Road.
According to Lafayette Chief Deputy Marshal Phil Conrad, they are attempting to serve a warrant, and they believe the suspect has barricaded themselves inside.
Our crew on scene says that deputies have made contact with the person, a male suspect, barricaded in the home. The person’s family is also on the scene. They tell KATC that they are worried for his the safety.
