Today, Lafayette’s Olive Garden stopped by thirteen fire stations in the area to bring food to show appreciation for their hard work.
The restaurants’ management team says this is just one of the ways organizations can recognize firefighters for their hard work.
“We might forget what happened on 9-11; I know I was young at the time,” said Kori Westbrook, manager at Olive Garden. “I was in grade school. Doing things like this and feeding our firefighters helps bring awareness around, to never forget there was a tragedy that happened on 9-11. And, just bring a little relief on them, maybe to those who’ve suffered in the past from this tragedy.”
