Ride Acadiana starts tomorrow

Ride Acadiana, the Lafayette transit route linking Lafayette to Crowley with stops along Highway 90 in Scott, Duson, and Rayne, rolls tomorrow.

For this week, fares will be free.

There are stops in Crowley, Rayne and Duson, including “park and ride” set-ups for commuters. The Lafayette stops include UL, SLCC, Lafayette General and the Lafayette Transit station, so riders can go anywhere LTS buses go.

Next week, rates will be as follows:
• Two-ride card – $5 / $2 for riders 65+, disabled and Medicare recipients.
• 12-ride card – $20 / $10 for riders 65+, disabled and Medicare recipients.
• Children under 5 years old ride free.
• Additionally, exact change will be accepted on the bus.

Ride passes will be available for purchase soon at locations in each municipality on the route.
