Disney’s Team of Heroes donated care packages to Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Lafayette today.
Each box was filled with toys and movies to give to children currently at the hospital and future patients.
“So, we use [care packages] as a prize after an IV or after getting a tube in your nose,” said child life specialist Janie Franke. “Those are very traumatic for children, so this kind of helps to ease that and helps them know that the hospital is a safe place – a place where they can heal and get better.”
