Vermilionville is celebrating “Acadian Culture Day” until 5 p.m. this afternoon.
The free festival is held on the grounds of Vermilionville annually. This year’s theme is “What’s Happening Now.”
There will be demonstrations, which includes cooking, performances and boat tours, and there was a parade this morning.
“Its unlike any other place where you’re going to see just an older tradition French kind of culture,” says artist Bryan Theriot. “What you see here is a real blend of a lot of things.”
