Jennings Police say they arrested a man Monday night following an attempted armed robbery at a hotel.

Police have identified the suspect as 36-year-old Dustin Kent Russell of Jennings.
Russell allegedly approached the victim with a weapon while at a hotel on Monday night. Police say that Russell was able to enter the victim’s room during the incident.
The victim was able to defend himself and Russell fled the scene.
Following a search, officers apprehended Russell at a Waffle House in Jennings.
He was booked into the Jeff Davis Parish Jail on a charge of Attempted Armed Robbery. No bond has been set.
