Police say 22-year-old John Jarmain Coleman of Jennings was arrested on Monday, June 10 on warrants for simple burglary and theft of livestock in connection with the theft.

Detectives say that the sacks were removed from a cooler located on LA 1126. Deputies say they received information from Jennings Police that a vehicle was stopped carrying several crawfish sacks on the same night of the theft. Coleman was identified as the driver of that vehicle.

Warrants were issued for his arrest.

Police say Coleman admitted to detectives that he took the crawfish from the cooler.

Coleman is being held in the Jeff Davis Parish Jail. No bond has been set
