Posted

New information is being released on a shooting that took place last week in Jennings.

According to Chief Danny Semmes, a 15-year-old is allegedly responsible for the shooting that happened at the intersection of Orange and Spencer Street on Friday, April 26. One person was injured in the shooting and airlifted to an area hospital in stable condition.

Following the incident, the chief says that four persons on interest were questioned. The four, according to the chief, were witnesses to the shooting and identified the alleged shooter.

The chief says the identity of the teen cannot be released because he is underage. Semmes says that his officers are actively searching for the teen.
