The Jennings Police Department says that several vehicles were targeted in recent vehicle burglaries.
In a Facebook post, the department says that four suspects were caught on surveillance video breaking into vehicles in the Jennings area late Sunday night and early Monday morning. Police say one vehicle was stolen in the area of East Academy Avenue.
The four suspects are believed to be going from house to house looking for vehicles with unlocked doors.
Surveillance videos of the suspects were shared to the Jennings PD Facebook Page.
Police are reminding residents to remove their keys and other items from their vehicles and to lock car doors.
Anyone with information on these burglaries, or who sees anything suspicious should contact the Jennings Police Department at 337-821-5513.
Last week the department said that they have seen an increase in the number of vehicle thefts occurring in the city. Many of the reports made have come primarily from the Eastern side of town in the Granger Street and Davis Street areas, according to police.
A vehicle was stolen from the Davis Street area on Thursday, April 11.
