An Iowa man has been booked into the Jeff Davis Parish jail following the alleged rape of a 17-year-old.
Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s deputies say they obtained a warrant for the arrest of 26-year-old Justin Randall Bruney of Iowa.
Detectives say they received information from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s office that Bruney had been conversing with a 17-year-old girl on skype. Bruney allegedly picked the victim up from her home on April 12 and transported her from Calcasieu into Jeff Davis parish to Iowa.
Officials say the victim reported she was raped by Bruney and then forced to take a shower before he would drive her back to her home.
Bruney was arrested by Calcasieu deputies on April 16 and transferred to Jeff Davis Parish jail. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
