The Jennings Police Department says they have seen an increase in the number of vehicle burglaries and reports of stolen vehicles in the city.
Police say reports have been made primarily on the Eastern side of town in the Granger Street and Davis Street areas. The department posted to their Facebook page on Friday.
Investigators are working to uncover any information in regards to these instances. Police say that unlocked vehicles and those with valuables clearly visible inside have become targets of burglary and theft.
Surveillance video was shared by the department regarding the theft of a vehicle on Davis Street on Thursday night. Police say a juvenile suspect is involved.

Police advise residents to always remove keys and lock their doors upon leaving a vehicle.
