A Welsh man has been arrested following an investigation by the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s office into the reported rape of a 14-year-old.

Deputies received the complaint in February where it was reported that the victim was raped in November 2018 near a bridge in Welsh.
18-year-old Michael Lynn Prudhomme, III was arrested on Wednesday, April 10th following the investigation by deputies. He was booked on a charge of 3rd-degree rape.
He is being held in the Jeff Davis Parish Jail. No bond has been set.
