An Iowa man has died as the result of injuries he received in a crash a few days ago.

Louisiana State Police say that just after 8:30 p.m. on November 30, 2018, they responded to a single-vehicle crash on US Highway 90, west of Pousson Road in Jefferson Davis Parish.

An investigation revealed 41-year-old Brandy Lynn Lucker of Iowa, LA attempted to pass another vehicle when she lost control and traveled into a ditch.  After entering the ditch, her vehicle overturned several times causing Lucker and her passenger, 44-year-old Shane  Ardoin of Iowa to be ejected.

Lucker sustained moderate injuries. Ardoin was transported from the scene with serious injuries.  Neither was wearing a seat belt.

Ardoin died as a result of his injuries and was pronounced dead at an area hospital Thursday morning.

Lucker was charged with improper passing but additional charges are possible. Toxicology samples were obtained and have been submitted for analysis.

The crash remains under investigation.
