Jeff Davis Parish deputies say that a teenager was killed after a weapon fell from a gun rack and accidentally discharged in a home.
Deputies say 15-year-old Koby Lee Keever was seriously injured on Friday night after a gun reportedly fell from a gun rack and discharged, striking him in the stomach.
At the time of the incident, deputies say Keever and two other juveniles were present in the home.
Keever was transported to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for treatment. He later died from his injuries.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
