A man wanted for murder in Jefferson Davis Parish was arrested in Texas Thursday.
David Wade Clark, 28, is accused of first-degree murder in the death of 33-year-old Devin Marc Sanders.
Sanders was found dead in front of a home on Leyoub Road in Topsy last Friday.
An arrest warrant was later issued for Clark’s arrest.
Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s deputies located a vehicle they believe belonged to Clarkon Tuesday in Lake Charles.
Police in Beaumont, Texas, apprehended the suspect after chasing him in a grocery store in Jefferson County, Texas, according to a spokesman with the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives with the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office had been working with authorities in Texas since Tuesday to locate Clark.
Clark was booked into the Jefferson County Jail. Detectives will be working with the district attorney on Clark’s extradition back to Louisiana.
