Two men were arrested in connection with a shooting Friday night in New Iberia.
The shooting happened on Mississippi Street near its intersection with Cletus Street.
Police say “an innocent bystander” was injured, but their injuries were not life-threatening. The victim was taken to the hospital.
Detectives with the New Iberia Police Department received a description of the suspect vehicle and located it about two hours late. Three people were inside the vehicle, and detectives tied two of them to the crime.
Detectives also located a gun with a “high-capacity magazine” inside the vehicle.
Kenneth Landry, Jr. and Deondrick Brown were each booked in to the Iberia Parish Jail with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
