Some people in Acadiana are reporting damage around their homes following heavy winds this morning.
Some guessed a tornado touched down, but according to KATC’s Eric Zernich, there wasn’t a tornado but just strong, gusty winds.
The wind peeled a roof off of a home on Van Brocklin Road in Iberia Parish.
In Jeff Davis Parish, the weather knocked a swing set over at a family’s home in Elton.
A wind advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. with winds remaining between 15-25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
And, if you haven’t already noticed, there has been a significant drop in temperature with lows in the 30s overnight.
