The Iberia Parish Council on Aging hosted its annual Christmas-themed dance and luncheon today.
The Cyr Gates Community Center in New Iberia City Park was filled with the members ready to enjoy the holiday season.
The morning consisted of music, dancing, and lunch.
“Well, I think the seniors need to have somewhere that they can go, that they feel safe. It’s during the daytime; a lot of them don’t like to drive at night. And, they’re getting their exercise and friendship and just getting out and not staying home,” said the council’s executive director, Carol Whipp.
