Teen wanted in connection with two shootings in New Iberia

The New Iberia Police Department is currently searching for a teenager wanted in connection with two shootings which happened on Sunday.

Police say on November 25, 2018, officers were called to two separate shooting scenes that occurred within minutes of one another. One scene was located on the 900 block of Anderson Street and the second near the intersection of St. Jude Avenue and Daigre Street.

One individual was injured during the incidents. Police say that these two shootings are connected.

New Iberia Police say that 17-year-old Jarason Provost is wanted for attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, and two counts of aggravated criminal damage to property.
