An arrest has been made in the September burglary of Meche’s Donuts in New Iberia.
New Iberia Police say that after collecting the facts and information on the case, investigators were able to get an arrest warrant on 41-year-old Joseph “J Five” Simon.
The burglary happened on September 4, 2018. Surveillance photos and video allegedly show Simon breaking into registers at the store on East St. Peter Street.
Simon, who is currently in the Iberia Parish Jail on separate charges, has been additionally booked for simple burglary.
