Mosquito abatement operations continue in Iberia Parish

The Iberia Parish Mosquito Abatement District says that aerial spraying operations will continue in the parish this week.

Operations will begin on Friday, October 26 and continue on Monday, October 29 and Tuesday, October 30, weather permitting.

Those who are hypersensitive or wish to avoid exposures to chemicals are asked to remaining inside during spraying. All others can safely continue all outdoor activities as planned. Residents in areas where spraying will occur may notice low flying aircraft. The District asks that those residents not attempt to follow the path of the aircraft as it flies overhead.

Aerial spraying will take place at the following locations:

Friday (10/26) night (Delcambre) operations will focus in Delcambre, specifically, south of Lake Peigneur, R. Esponge, Bob Acres, Longside Rd., Andras, BJ Estelle Dr., Avery Island Rd. and all points in between.

Monday (10/29) night (Laurent) Rynella, Migues, Laurent, Lydia, Weeks Island Rd., College Rd. and all points in between.

Tuesday (10/30) night (New Iberia) operations will focus in the City of New Iberia and surrounding areas. Acadian Acres, Pesson, City Park and Belle Place. Specifically, Darby Ln., Leon Landry, Jules Rd., N. Freyou Rd. and all points in between.
