New Iberia City Council members and community leaders are discussing the possible return of theD.A.R.E. program.
The council held their first brainstorming session on that idea Tuesday evening. According to Mayor Freddie Decourt, the dialogue about drug prevention curriculum will continue beyond this meeting.
Before the meeting Tuesday, groups gathered to speak about the D.A.R.E. program. Iberia Parish School Superintendent Carey Laviolette was also on hand during the meeting.
