A group of family and friends got together at the Robicehaux Center in Lafayette on Friday to help those in need following Hurricane Laura.
"We had a fundraiser at my job, Lafayette Parish School System, where we were able to pick up items for goodie bags, and we have that on the inside and we have prepared red beans and rice, baked chicken, cupcake and a drink." said Dianne Borel.
Family and friends of Borel will be travelling to Lake Charles to feed residents on Saturday. They will be located on Blake Street.
