UPDATE: Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office say the missing man from Ville Platte has been found and is back home.

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office needs the public assistance in locating a missing 71-year-old man who suffers from dementia.
Deputies say that on Thursday, June 20, the wife of 71-year-old John Brown reported that her husband was last seen at 9:30 a.m. at their home on Grand Prairie Rd in Ville Platte.
Brown’s wife said that her husband left their home and was heading to Tib’s Trailer in Duson.
Brown has not made it to Duson and has not made it back home, according to EPSO.
Brown also known as “Eddie” is described as 5’11 in height, weighs about 160 lbs. He is partially bald with grey hair, blue eyes and a fair skin tone. He also suffers from dementia.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a peach colored shirt with a hat of some sort.
Brown was driving his blue 2008 Chevrolet Silverado with a Louisiana License Plate #X0142670.
