Police seeking information about fatal stabbing

Ville Platte Police are seeking information about a stabbing that left one man dead this past weekend.

Jacorey Gallow died of a stab wound to his chest, Chief Neal Lartigue said. Police were called to a home on Rev ED Alfred Street, and found Gallow on the floor of the home with a stab wound to his chest. He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, the chief said.

Chief Lartigue stated that the incident remains under investigation. Police know the man’s wife stabbed him, but officers are trying to determine the circumstances around the incident, he said. There were other people at the home when Gallow was stabbed, but so far no eyewitnesses have been located, he said.
