The mayor, police chief, and full-time police officers in the Town of Mamou are getting pay raises.
An ordinance was introduced by the town’s council last month and subsequently approved.
The mayor’s pay will increase to $3,850 a month, and the police chief’s pay will increase to $3,600 a month. Full-time officers’ pay will increase from $11.25 an hour to $13.00 an hour.
