The Evangeline Parish Police Jury has announced the approval of a construction project for Hwy 167 North.
According to Police Jury President Ryan LeDay Williams, Governor Edwards approved the project which will consist of overlaying and building shoulders on Hwy 167 from the St. Landry Parish line to Ville Platte city limits.
Officials with DOTD say that the construction will be done in sections and to be completed in 6 to 8 months. Construction will begin once a project number is assigned.
“I’d like to Thank Governor John Bel Edwards for this award along with Mr. Bill Olivier With DOTD and we look forward to doing more things throughout Evangeline Parish with State and Federal Funds,” Williams said.
