The Evangeline Parish Police Jury voted this week to partner with the Louisiana Office of Debt Recovery to help recover over $100,000 in past due sewer bills, KVPI reports.
There is no cost to the parish. The state agency will attach the debts to residents’ tax returns, driver’s licenses, permits and hunting and fishing licenses to recover the money owed, the radio station reports.
