A Rapid Response seminar and job fair has been set for workers who were laid off by Cameron-Schlumberger, KVPI reports.
The event will be held Tuesday, March 12th beginning at 8:30 AM.
According to the radio station, the Evangeline Parish Chamber of Commerce is working with Louisiana Workforce and brought in the Rapid Response team. There will be an orientation to help those workers know what their benefits are and when they can apply for unemployment. They will also assist with 401k questions, and questions about the SNAP food stamp program, the station reports.
The job fair will be specifically for those laid off by Cameron, KVPI reports.
