Ville Plate Police are searching for a trusty who walked away from the Police Department last night.
Jahmal Rashad Byers, 34, was serving time for a drug conviction, Chief Neal Lartigue said.
Last night, he walked out of the Police Department and never returned. His last known address was on Roderick Street in Ville Platte.
Anyone who knows where he might be is asked to call the Police Department at 363-1313. Your call will remain anonymous.
The incident is under investigation, the chief said.
