The Lake Charles Police Department will conduct a safety checkpoint on Wednesday, June 26.
Police say the checkpoint will take place somewhere within the city limits from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Officers will be looking for seat belt and other safety violations.
The checkpoint is sponsored by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission
