A 20-year-old Lake Charles man with felony convictions was arrested Friday in Lafayette after police obtained a social media post of the suspect possessing a gun.
On Friday, March 15, 2019, members of the Lake Charles Police Department’s SWAT team traveled to Lafayette in an effort of serving an outstanding warrant for possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies on Kearrick E. Joe, according to Lieutenant Jeffrey Keenum, Lake Charles Police Department Spokesman.
The Lafayette Police Department assisted.
Police say Joe was seen on social media in possession of a firearm.
Joe was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Jail on a $250,000 bond.
