As of 10:00 Wednesday, I-10 East is still closed.
I-10 East remains closed at LA 99 (Welsh) for vehicle recovery operations. Traffic is being diverted to LA 99 South in Welsh to US 90 East to LA 395 North in Roanoke. Congestion remains at LA 101 (Lacassine).
DOTD is reporting that congestion has reached approximately six miles in length.

Interstate 10 Eastbound near Welsh will close at 5 p.m. today so crews can remove an overturned 18-wheeler on the frontage road, KPLC reports.
Traffic will be diverted through Welsh to Roanoke and back to Interstate 10, KPLC reports.
The accident happened this morning. No injuries were reported by State Police.
