A 35–year-old Lake Charles woman is accused of homicide.
On Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 10:23 PM, the Lake Charles Police Department was assigned to an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Power Center Parkway in reference to a shooting where a victim would later die from their injuries, according to Lt. Jeffrey Keenum, spokesman for the Lake Charles Police Department.
Oran Henderson, 63, of Lake Charles, was identified as the victim.
Shawon Washington was arrested on a charge of manslaughter.
Investigators say the case is believed to be of a domestic nature and the investigation is continuing.
Judge Robert Wyatt set Washington’s bond at $125,000.
