A man and a woman are accused of an armed robbery in Lake Charles.

On January 28 at 12:40 a.m., the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of an armed robbery of a convenience store in the 1900 block of Sam Houston Jones Parkway in Lake Charles. The investigation revealed a man went into the store with a firearm and demanded money from the clerk, according to Kim Myers, spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office.  After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash he fled the store in an unknown direction.

After further investigation and receiving tips from the public, detectives learned the identity of the man responsible for the armed robbery was Ryan K. Rashall, 33, of Lake Charles. It was also learned a woman, identified as Crystal M. Foreman, 38, homeless, drove Rashall to and from the convenience store during the robbery.

Rashall and Foreman were both arrested later the same day as the robbery and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Jail. Rashall is charged with armed robbery; and armed robbery with the use of a firearm. Foreman is charged with armed robbery accessory after the fact. Judge Sharon Wilson set Rashall’s bond at $250,000 and Foreman’s bond at $75,000.

CPSO Detective Casey Lafargue is the lead investigator on this case.
